Valley Forge National Historic Park lies on the famous Revolutionary War site where the American Continental Army and General George Washington camped during the brutal winter of 1777 - 1778. In homage of that time, it features restored cabins and other structures, various memorials, and a state-of-the-art visitors center with an introductory film and other exhibits. It lies about 15 miles to the northwest of Philadelphia.
